This post is to serve as a reminder as to who we are and what we stand for. This gym was conceived by principals that will make an impact on you and those around you. So I want to call attention to a trend that I have seen at other gyms and have witnessed here a couple of times within the past week and a half.
WE DO NOT lay down for anyone or anything. There is no workout that I can give you that should cause you to fall on your back and roll around on the ground. Whatever video or training montage, you watched that displayed that behavior should be thrown in the trash and never watched again. If you have someone in your life that lets you get away with that kind of shit, you take a hard look at who your company is. It’s a trap. Don’t fall for it. Hold yourself to a higher standard and walk away from the pussification that is currently running rampant.
Laying down due to being uncomfortable tells me everything I need to know about you. It also begs the question, what else are you laying down for? What other struggles or commitments are you not standing up to because they make you uncomfortable. Diet? Training? Relationships? Career? You are not that weak. And if you are, please notify me to have a sit-down and correct the issue.
Next time you want to lay down during a workout, I want you to say the word “weak.” If, after saying that, you still want to lay down, then go right ahead. But know that you are living into the last word that left your lips.-Erik

Two reasons to lay down. Death or to show you are submitting. I am not a fan of either, but one I cannot escape.
